Pine Creek Fish Hatchery started out of a backyard in Lewisham Sydney in 1928. 

In 1946, the hatchery moved to Belmore and built the largest hatchery in Australia.

In 1952 a second and larger hatchery was built in Miranda and for 10 years both hatcheries were in production until 1962 when the business was moved to Miranda.

By 1966 the creek at Miranda was becoming polluted due to urbanization and the farm was moved to Bonville, a small village south of Coffs Harbour. A constant supply of clean, fresh water means our fish are healthy. Today the farm remains the largest producer of aquarium fish in NSW.  ​
